Welcome!

We're JETAA Canberra, and we've been providing advice, guidance, support and friendship for past and present participants in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program since 1993.

We're involved in a range of formal and social activities for members, such as our famous o-hanami on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Spring. We work closely with the Embassy of Japan in Canberra to select participants for the JET Program, and run a number of orientation activities for newly-selected JETs.

An important aim of JETAA Canberra is to promote closer friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and Australia. Our members participate in many events involving the Australian-Japanese community here in Canberra, and share their JET Program experience with prospective new JETs and other members of the community.

If you are a current JET, returning/returned JET to the Canberra region or would just like to join or know more about JETAA Canberra, please contact the President.
